Wilburton Hill Park Large Colorful Train Playground in Bellevue

If you’re looking for a park that has something for everyone—playgrounds, open space, nature walks, and even a zip line—you’ll love Wilburton Hill Park in Bellevue. It’s tucked right next to the beautiful Bellevue Botanical Garden, making it a perfect half-day outing with kids. Shady trees, wide trails, and plenty of room to run make this a local favorite, especially during warm summer months.

Whether you’re out for a weekend adventure or exploring things to do with kids in Bellevue, this park checks all the boxes.

Shady and Spacious—Perfect for Summer Play

Wilburton Hill Park is one of our favorite spots when the sun is out. The park is filled with tall trees that provide tons of natural shade—perfect for picnics, stroller walks, or just hanging out while the kids burn off some energy. If you’re looking for shady parks in Bellevue, this one’s a top pick.

You’ll find open lawns for free play, walking paths that wind through the trees, and a fun play structure tucked right into the woods.

There’s a Zip Line Here!

Yes—there’s a real zip line at this park! It’s kid-friendly and just the right amount of thrill for elementary-age kids. Our kids always make a beeline for it. It’s part of the playground area, so while the big kids zip, little ones can enjoy slides and climbing.

Full Turf Soccer Field & Walking Track

Wilburton Hill Park isn’t just for play structures—there’s also a full-sized turf soccer field perfect for pickup games, team practices, or just letting the kids kick a ball around. It’s a great space for older kids and tweens who’ve outgrown the playground but still want to stay active.

Surrounding the field is a flat, paved walking track that’s stroller-friendly and great for kids learning to bike or scooter. Parents often walk laps while keeping an eye on the game—it’s a win-win for the whole family.

Right Next to Bellevue Botanical Garden

One of the best parts about Wilburton Hill Park is that it’s just a short walk to Bellevue Botanical Garden. While the two don’t share a parking lot, they’re connected by scenic trails through the woods or a quick, family-friendly walk along the sidewalk. The garden is free to enter and offers paved paths, seasonal blooms, and plenty of peaceful spots to explore.

It’s a great add-on if your kids love nature or if you’re looking for a quieter, more relaxing stroll after playground time. We like to start at Wilburton for play, then wander over to the garden for a change of pace.
