Nestled in the heart of Everett, the Imagine Children’s Museum has become a beacon of joy and discovery for families since its grand reopening in September 2022. With a sprawling three stories dedicated to play, exploration, and education, this museum is an enchanting world for children aged 1 to 12 years—and there’s plenty to captivate the grown-ups, too!

A Wonderland of Exploration
From the moment you step through the doors, the museum invites you into a realm of imagination and wonder. The Adventure Woodland and Canopy Gallery greet visitors with an invitation to climb trees and traverse rope bridges. The attention to detail is remarkable, featuring a lifelike fishing pond where children can ‘catch’ magnetic fish, a wildlife rescue clinic, and a cozy campsite setup.
A Realm of Creative Play (1st Floor)
The first floor is a haven for creative minds, offering diverse play areas that spark imagination in every corner. From a vibrant water play zone and a transit area featuring air, train, and bus play, to a farm and an air maze, little adventurers can embark on endless journeys. The museum thoughtfully includes a special area for babies and toddlers, ensuring they have a safe space to explore away from the older kids.
For our family, the water play zone was particularly memorable, offering an interactive and educational exploration of hydrodynamics through play. Be prepared with a full set of spare clothes and boots; they’re essential after the water-based activities. The art exhibits also stood out, igniting a spark of creativity and curiosity in our children. The museum masterfully combines fun with learning, crafting an enriching experience that leaves a lasting impact on young visitors.
Discover and Learn (2nd Floor)
Ascending to the second floor unveils even more treasures. The EcoSystem Gallery offers a deep dive into Pacific Northwest ocean life, complemented by the Distribution Center where kids can lift and move packages, and the Engineer It! zone, which encourages experimentation with paper airplanes. A unique addition is the 2.5 floor, home to a port and shipping area complete with a toy boat for maritime adventures.
Outdoor Adventures and More
The outdoor area is a sprawling playground paradise, featuring slides, climbing structures, a dino dig, and a musical corner, ensuring the fun continues under the sun.
Thoughtful Amenities
Throughout the museum, visitors will find gender-neutral bathrooms equipped with baby changing tables and water fountains—convenient touches that ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for families.
A Space to Rest and Refresh (3rd Floor)
The third floor houses a multipurpose room with a grab-and-go area, tables, and chairs—perfect for a well-deserved break and a chance to refuel before diving back into the museum’s wonders.
