The Bellevue Botanical Garden is a Bellevue GEM! Beautiful, serene, tranquil, are just a few of many words to describe this place. Take a stroll through 53 acres of gardens while enjoying the sights and smells of a variety of flowers, plants, and wetlands. Grab a coffee (or non caffeinated beverage from the coffee cart) to accompany your stroll. Don’t forget to return for the annual Garden d’Lights event – it’s one not to miss!

Note to self

  • Go early in the morning or after work on weekdays for quiet time, it is packed on weekends.
  • No pets allowed.
  • Free Wifi while at the garden (Bellevue Connect)
  • Scan QR codes on your smart phone to learn about the plants there.
  • The pathways are gravel so recommend comfortable walking shoes.
  • In the Ravine Experience, there’s a suspension bridge that takes you to a bird watching area. Great photo op for kids.
  • There’s a koi pond, a hobbit door, and a leaf “throne” chair that the kids like to sit on.
  • Take water with you.
  • A great place to go if you play Pokémon Go.
  • The “Garden of D’Lights” during the holiday season in December is especially beautiful.
  • The garden is 100% stroller/wheelchair accessible, with a mixture of gravel and paved paths.
