A Kid-Favorite Playground in the Heart of Downtown

The recently updated playground here is fantastic for kids of all ages. You’ll find climbing structures, swings, slides, and imaginative features designed for both little ones and older kids. The play area has soft rubber surfacing and is partially shaded, so it’s comfortable even on warm summer days.

Parents love the open layout and visibility, and there are benches and picnic tables nearby so you can sit and relax while the kids burn off energy.

Bellevue Downtown Park Playground features a unique four-seater seesaw where kids can laugh and play together, surrounded by safe rubber ground and modern play structures—perfect for collaborative fun and social play.

Summer Fun: Splash Pad, Mini Waterfalls & Outdoor Movies

Bellevue Downtown Park splash pad, open to all during the summer, featuring a mini waterfall and water table, perfect for toddlers.

In the summer, the fun goes beyond the playground. The splash pad turns on, becoming a water wonderland for kids to cool off and run through. Just next to it, a small waterfall adds an extra element of adventure—our kids love to walk along the edge and watch the water tumble down.

And don’t miss Movies in the Park, typically held in late July and August. Bring a blanket, snacks, and cozy up on the lawn for a fun family movie night under the stars. It’s one of our favorite family-friendly summer activities in Bellevue.

Year-Round Beauty & a Stroller-Friendly Walking Path

Bellevue Downtown Park’s scenic walking trail loops around a peaceful reflecting pond, making it a relaxing and stroller-friendly walk for families. In this photo, ducks are swimming calmly along the water near the trail, adding a bit of wildlife fun for kids exploring the park.

Even when the splash pad is turned off, Bellevue Downtown Park is still a gem. The wide, paved circular walking path around the park is perfect for strollers and scooters, and offers peaceful views of the central pond and its friendly ducks. We always end up taking a lap—or two!
